Who we are
Rest Easy Web is a website care service for small businesses in the US, UK and New Zealand. Our full business registration details will be added here once registration is complete.
What we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your name, email address, billing details (handled by our payment provider) and what you tell us in the onboarding form, such as your website address and other site details. You create a separate admin user on your site for us and let us install a small monitoring plugin. We never ask for your main hosting login or your own WordPress password, and your own two-factor login is unaffected.
Free Website Health Report
If you ask for a free report, we use your web address and email only to check your site's public pages and send you the report. We only send marketing emails if you tick the separate optional box.
How we use it
We use your information to provide the plan you bought, send reports, reply to support requests and send billing emails. We do not sell your data.
Website logins
We never ask for your main hosting login or your own WordPress password. You create a separate admin user for us, which you can delete at any time. When you leave, we send you a download link to your latest backup, delete our admin login and remove our monitoring plugin. We also delete our copy of your separate file (SFTP or FTPS) login and send you the steps to remove it from your hosting panel.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the service providers we need to run your plan:
- payment processing;
- website hosting and security for this site;
- backup and monitoring tools;
- email and helpdesk.
They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you are a client and for a limited time after, as needed for legal and accounting reasons. Backups are kept for up to 50 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Clients in the UK have rights under UK GDPR. Clients in New Zealand have rights under the Privacy Act 2020. To ask, email us. Email support opens with checkout in November 2026.
